In the Lab Product Management focuses on BUILDING. What all hiring managers are looking for when interviewing candidates. We'll go beyond lectures and decks and build a real product. This hands on experience makes the learning stick and shows you how some things that sound easy are actually difficult.

Through conversations with PM hiring managers, we think it will definitely help get you further down the interview path. When we get program results, they'll be updated here. We are going to be tweaking and updating the program to get the best results for candidates!

We are committed to keeping this affordable for candidates - since they are outside the tech industry, we don't anticipate companies will cover this cost. So we're keeping this free or very low cost for candidates.

This program gets A LOT of applicants! To stand out, try to include comments and some backstory on your product management journey so far. Every comment is read by a person! 

You should also be sure your LinkedIn or portfolio is up to date, comprehensive, and the link works!

While we get applicants from all backgrounds, we focus on the following characteristics -

• People from underrepresented backgrounds in tech - with a special emphasis on Black, Latina/o, and Indigenous individuals. Any underrepresented background is invited to apply though! This includes: LGBTQ+, women of any race and ethnicity, and non-binary individuals!
• People who have already done initial research and learning about product management
• People who are facing obstacles to getting a product manager job
• People who have demonstrated their past focus and hustle
• People who are genuinely excited to build!

Our cohorts are evenly split between people with some tech experience and people with very little or no tech experience. 

We're focused on leveling the playing field for underrepresented people in product management - it's built by underrepresented people who are sick of the status quo.
